haha well done entertainment officer for that post. that being said, i would LOVE to upload TONNES of HILARIOUS pictures of our fellow members BUT my heart tells me no. like seriously. their future would be destroyed if i were to make those pictures public. haha. especially our dear number 8. so if in case i die, u know why. imagine those 4 fellas dead drunk. stuck on the sofa, cannot move, red face, super hyper, bursting laughters. Did you honestly think we'll last so long?

Hey everyone! Its the 6th of February 2007, the eve of the eve of the Genetics CA paper and I am here blogging because... I do not know, maybe I just felt inspired by the little muse around me to write. Anyway, did you honestly think we'll go so long without doing anything? I mean, the last update was about the mahjong tournament, and that was what, 6 freaking days ago! Hello, we at LCCB never believe in wasting a single day together, and we never. Let's see, we had our ... ( I lost count) stayover at Kai-Lyn's house last thursday, on the 1st of February! Hmmm but before that, LCCB also had a nice lunch at Cute Chicken (ie Ke Ai Ji) at Coronation Plaza, the coolest palace along Dunearn Road (I mean, if Evange used to hang out there, it must be cool right? *sniggers*). Anyway, the stayover was f.u.n. It always is. Always. Come join us if you can, but only if we invite you. Haha! Well, it was inauguration into the mahjong community for Melissa and Evangeline, who played with real money for the first time! Well, I love to play mahjong at Kai's place because the fengshui there favours me, somewhat more than the rest. Case in point, self made Little three scholars, semipure characters and all pong. 7 folds in total. Or my 13 unique wonders which was waiting to go out, on a One dot. Anyway, Evange paid a meagre 4 dollars for her tutorial, which went to Kenrick (for my dinner, haha). Hmmm, whilst we were playing mahjong, Alvin, Zx, Ks, and Kai self entertained with their drinking games, which to say the least amused us. In their drunken stupor, Kai-Lyn climbed her house gate, raced with me on the road barefooted, Zx spoke nonsense (drunkened or not, as usual), Ks too, while Alvin slept. Then we all went to sleep. All of us. On Kai's bed. =) Think what you want. Oh the make up we put on for Kai and Ks? Priceless.

Anyway, I have just returned from a crash party at Evange's house! Ks picked me up early in the morning to go to Evange's house, which she is obviously oblivious to. We showed up, knocked on her door and she appeared *gasp* without makeup. But the Queen was gorgeous sans makeup! =) I saw photos that I should not have seen, and then there was Evange refusing to allow us food unless we cleared up afterwards. There was clawing and biting and raunchy business (we kid you on the third point). And then there were confessions. On boobs. And hips. And then we watched Fat Choi Spirit, in true blue Mahjong clique spirit. LCCB loves mahjong.

Anyway, see you guys tomorrow at COFM, and then thursday. Yes, my hands are itching already. Anyway, did you really think we'll last this long? 6 days to the end of school, but oh we hav just begun =) Watch this space for true L.C.C.B. action!

Hello everyone! Its me, the entertainment officer blogging after a long hiatus. My semi-retirement from the blog scene however does not represent my retirement from LCCB (of course not!), as I continue to bring fun and entertaining activities to members of the club! On Monday, the 27th of January 2007, 8 specially selected members of the club were invited to participate in the inaugural Mahjong King tournament.

The tournament, held at my place was proudly sponsored by our vice president, who personally ordered the staff to be awarded to the Champion. The eight players, coming from different backgrounds and having different levels of skills, were to pit their skills against each other in the preliminary round to decide the top four players to advance to the final round.

The groupings of players to the different tables were decided by luck, and Kae Sian and Tzeyeong seem to have slightly better luck, as they were drawn into the same table as Zong Xian and Melissa; whilst the Lucky King and Queen of Mahjong, Kenrick and Kai-Lyn were drawn into the same table as the 'self-proclaimed' Mahjong Queen Serene and the jester Alvin, who often presents with varying levels of skill and luck.

The competition was flagged off by Queen Elizabeth, I mean, Evangeline, who had declared the tournament open with the powers vested in her by the mahjong gods. She was subsequently relegated to the position of domestic helper, as she was the only person with time on her hands. Queen E volunteered her services in cooking, but none of the players were audacious enough to make such a request. Thereafter the poor Queen was relegated to player with the hamsters and trying to make them do stunts. Oh, and of course having her daily 5 minutes of workout on the exercise machine while showing off her lovely vocals.

Back to the games, Melissa seemed to be having a hard time at her table, as Kaesian got off to a flying start, with a self made 4 fold semi pure characters win. Tzeyeong was not to be outdone, as he took the second game with a 4 fold running sequence win, courtesy of Zong Xian, who had proudly declared before the start of the tournament that he had a strategy that would ensure his smooth progression to the final round. True to his word, Zong Xian subsequently declared a five fold win with a semi pure hand consisting of honours and characters, the win being granted by the hapless Melissa. Tzeyeong also had the blessings of the queen as he garnered a limit win upon a kong, consisting of bamboos and honours, shortly followed after by a 4 fold semipure triplets. Kaesian managed to hold on to his lead against Zongxian, progressing to the finals with Tzeyeong, who garnered a grand total of 199 chips.

On the other table, things were more evenly matched, as shouts of joy erupted from various players at various junctures. According to Alvin, the biggest win at their table was his self made running sequence without flowers. In the end, despite a brave effort by Kai-Lyn in the final round, with her two kongs (and her discarding her own winning tile in her folly), she failed to advance to the finals. Alvin and Serene maintained their position to challenge for the champions trophy while Kenrick and Kai Lyn could only watch from the sidelines.

The finals was a tense affair, the atmosphere made more electrifying by Alvin's constant exclamation at the beauty of his cards. After Alvin's self made limit 5 fold win consisting of honours and dots, the other players could only vie for second. Alvin's luck seemed to be overbrimming, as at one juncture, he had proclaimed he would 'suck balls' if he had failed to win.
Indeed, he had such a great hand, having kongs of the East Wind, and the One character, and with 1 bonus flower tile and 2 animal tiles setting him up perfectly for a limit win with semipure cards. Serene, never being a defensive player went all out, discarding the South wind for Alvin to pong, thus facing the horrible prospect of paying for all should Alvin self pick, as he was in South position with South as the prevailing wind. Fortunately for Serene, Alvin discarded a 6 characters for Tzeyeong, who won a meagre 1 fold running sequence win. The waiting tiles for Alvin? The red scholar and the 3 characters.

In the end, Tzeyeong managed to garner 2 four fold wins to overtake Serene. In the North prevailing wind, with Kaesian as the final dealer, Alvin had 135 chips to Tzeyeong's 127 chips. A self pick one fold win from Tzeyeong, or a hidden kong would have Alvin and Tzeyeong tied for first place. Fortunately for Alvin, he took the final round with a 1 fold win, thus consolidating his position as the first Mahjong King of LCCB. The final result reads as follows: Alvin in first place with 139 chips, TY in second place with 126 chips, Serene in third place with 99 chips, and Kaesian in fourth place with 36 chips. For the next Mahjong King tournament, the top seed Alvin and fourth seeded KS will face off in one table while TY and Serene, seeded second and third will vie for a place in the finals again.

Till then, do remember to hone your mahjong skills by playing regularly and watching more mahjong movies on Youtube, such as Kung Fu Mahjong 2, Fat Choi Spirit and Bet to Basic! May the 3 scholars and 4 Heavenly Winds bless your games!

many many events had happened ever since the last entry was posted on 13th nov 2005. but most importantly, tagboard is up again! woohoo! ok anyway, yes, much has happened. many MANY (see the emphasis on the word MANY??) mahjong sessions, many many drinking sessions, many many gatherings, many many good food courtesy of our chief chef, loh kai-lyn, KL trip! yes entertainment officer, excellent job for planning everything!! everything rite? except the part where i had to book ALL our KL tickets. christmas party was a blast! haha. the funniest gift exchange session EVER. haha. ugh. ok i dont wanna type anymore so i i'll just let the pictures do the talking.

once again i'm writing a report to the Queen about the club's recent movements and events. obviously everyone is busy muggin now. RITE? all should be hardworking now.like come on, even number 10 is studying!

well well well, how could we ever forget that. the club's President's birthday! it's like the BIGGEST event of the year! EVANGELINE's birthday! everyone scream!!!! so there we were, all dressed up nicely. theme was glam/chic. haha. thanks to entertainment officer for that idea. i mean, just look at him la! shirt, pants, tie, BLAZER! like HUH?! haha. of course he's proud of his appearance. haha. celebration was held at raffles city, some nice glam/chic place to eat. haha. nice food, nice warm choc cake, and OOOH, those pair of BIG, ROUNDED apple crumbles with ice cream toppings. haha. ok pics! who can resist them!? only glam/chic pics only. haha. of course i'd like to show u all other pics, but erm... haha. number 8 u know what i mean. haha.

i watched world trade centre today. sad story. tragic and yet heroic story. luckily i got my tissue papers ready beforehand. think i've teared this year's quota already. tears not for a girl, but for 2 heros who made it out from the 9/11 rumble, alive.

and after that, i read this on lifestyle:

1. first thing first, remember you're not dead.

It's a storm, it's the rain, NO it's the HAZE!

somewhere in there is a small hill named Mount Faber. that's how bad the haze is.

so, yesterday was mid autumn festival and like what i've expected, the moon was missing. engulfed by the almighty haze from indonesia. thanks indonesia, thanks to you my house is submerged in this weird smelling fog. my black sofa is NOT black anymore. there's constantly this dirty layer of don't know what on my floor. the floor is so dirty now. now i have to mop the floor once a day. and my nose can't smell any other scent except for the haze. i smell haze day in day out. how wonderful. bet my lungs can almost be comparable to a smoker's lungs. all black with whatever small microscopic crap that floats around me now. thank god i was at kai's house last night. thanks kai! u just saved me from shortening my lifespan for like 5 years. PSI of 130 as of today morning! wth. imagine driving in those kind of conditions. imagine going up benjamin sheares's bridge and you cannot see the car in front of you. yes. bad haze.

maybe you think the haze is bad, but do you actually know HOW bad is it? all of u might live in a private 2/3 storey house and think u cant the house across the street. but i live on the 24th floor and i cannot see the buildings from orchard! i cant even see the sea now. ok. maybe that didnt make sense. but never mind. am so zonked now. 48hrs of work and NO sleep. all thanks to some green tea, DAMN shiok red chilli curry chicken, chips, bailey's, ben&jerrys, game of spades, munchkins, all various versions of snap and oh! how could i forget a hot joyride with someone. ha.

What a Blast!

roughly a week ago, we were counting down to the holidays...

"1 more day to the hols!!"

"the holidays start NOW!"

then it was monday, all came to my house, created a mess, made so much noise, ate all my food, drank my drinks, emptied my fridge and won my money. how sad. the hours passed, some won money, some lost money. interesting chat topics surfaced: "auntie how did u know ur husband? was it an arranged marriage?" asked one. the rest were stunned. some left early, some left late. some left happy, some left sad, some left with a summon in their pocket. "who is it?" u may ask. "someone who was just damn sway," i would say.

tuesday came and we had dinner at liang seah street. and so coincidentally, we ordered EIGHT bowls of beef noodles. after that, the love "guru" was predicting everyone's love life. some turned out to be kinda true, others were nonsensical. "DESSERTS DESSERTS DESSERTS!" the girls demanded. and off we went to the next shop selling all time traditional chinese desserts.

wednesday was an all girls outing. guess where they went?? for a manicure and pedicure. FOR FREE.

the most anticipated friday came! popiah party! food, food, and more FOOD!!! serene's house was a mess. all thanks to us (retribution i think). all went well until no one wanted to play mahjong at the money table. ha. NO ONE. all were scared from what happened on monday. we had a nice steamboat dinner and had lots of fun interrogating someone. more juicy news please!

well done lccb. we did it again! we've jia-ed our hearts out. more jia-ing sessions to come!

Winning Eleven 7( yes, we are that ancient), 2 sets of mahjong- 1 on a round table playing without money, 1 on a proper table with people hu-ing 4 folds on every alternate turn, Crazy snap with shouts of Pink Bra, Double D cup!, triumph, g-strings. Steamboat dinner, mooncake sampling, reminiscing times long past, questions, interrogations, advice sharing. Great fun. Stay tuned for updates.

Melissa Tay (finally a member, and without accompanying boyfriend- time to join LBBC :P)

We had dinner at Liang Seah Street, where we ate the (famous?) stewed beef noodles with ice blended drinks. After some rather dubious fortune telling by Serene and expert Guru-ish advice from the Master No. 6 later, we adjourned to the neighbouring dessert stall for Mango with Grapefruit, Sesame hu, and other yummy dessert. There was also drum classes at Bugis Junction, where Serene proofed her lack of aptitude for the drums, while Alvin impressed with his rather above-average ability at following the beats of the drum machine. An extremely high no.8, think screaming and frantically whacking at the drumset, provided much needed comic relief! The Queen of course, refused to touch the drumstick (too dirty and crass), and I declare the outing a success!

The Entertainment Officer's Inaugural Report.
Monday 11 September 2006

Dearest members (which at press time refers to the ten founding ex-co members of LCCB),

Before I proceed with the report proper, may we please take 1 minute to remember family, friends and random strangers who might have lost their lives 5 years ago to a scary pathogen osamacoccus bin ladenues.

Anyway it has come to my notice that the club has recently enjoyed unprecedented attention due to the kind advertising by our affliliate site http://fmr1gene.blogspot.com. We would also like to express our condolences to our cousin LBBC, for the departure of their Honorary General Secretary. At the same time we would like to congratulate Hon Gen Sec (Hairy) Lee Zhen Jin for his phenomenal ascend to a position of (almost) unrivalled power in the ex-co. Perhaps a meeting should be in place to exchange pointers on how it is possible for me to ascend the ranks beyond the limits of the glass ceiling(It seems like due to LCCB club policy, only a female, of royal descent and of weight above 45 kg can succeed the position of President, of which I fail to do in more than 1 count).

My report shall henceforth conclude due to the lack of significant happenings within the club. We would however like to emphasise that all membership requests should be raised personally with the President. We recommend enclosing a resume listing your past experiences in having supper, and evidence of your ability to photowhore as they are indeed important pre-requisites among members.

The President's Inaugural Post

Welcome one and all to the LCCB!
As mentioned in the previous post (by whom i do not know), it has come to the club's attention that many people (ahem serene ahem claire) want to join our club!

So how guys? we need to set up some club policies!
should we be oh-so-exclusive and not let any tom, dick or hair(less) join us?
or should we welcome any enthusiastic not-too-skinny-food-lover with open arms?

Secondly, there's the issue of future gatherings. For the sake of equality, I propose the following:
For every 10 outings we have, 5 will be in sgn, 2 holland/town area, 1 tp, 1 south/chinatown, and 1 in the east. Comments, no.8?

Lastly, we want to thank our cousin club LBBC for being so friendly. Yes, perhaps a joint outing is in order. liaise with no. 4 or no.6?

as most of lccb members belong to a certain anat group just below the ranks of the "tan"s they felt it proper to initiate the new members into thier fun loving group. we here at lccb are a very elite elite elite club, and don't accept any old Tom, Dick or Harrys (or Hairys for that matter); we do however accept almost every other Beng, Seng, and Hengs (or Lohs, Chongs and Tans for the matter too). if you want to join us at lccb you must be too cool to want to join us, then maybe we'll let you in. if you grovel, beg and bribe us we might let you in too. if you eat very little, and are willing to share supper with us, we welcome you with open mouths.. er arms. let's initiate the freshies!

here we have no. 8! welcome no. 8, we all love you here at lccb! no.8 will hold the post as our majority representitive and help to serve the interest of the majority ethnic group in lccb. we don't really care for the minority, cuz we dun have any (as of yet, but you are all welcome!) lolx.

a big applause for our no. 7! no.7 is our new intelligence officer. i'd rather not comment on that at all.. keke.. welcome no.7!

everybody loves no. 10! he completes the finger poses with ALL ten fingers, instead of just stopping at 9. after all humans have a total of 10 fingers, not 9. why some groups would stop at 9 for the finger photo poses is just a concept which no. 10 cannot grasp.

of course in every other shot is our beloved no. 6! you are like soooooooooooooooooo photo-whored.. when is your photo collage coming up?

hooray! we, like, finally had our first club outing at Chomp Chomp Food Centre last night. we would, like, really have liked to go to a more cool chill-out place like Giraffe or the sorts but... nvm. i guess the heartlands would, like, serve as the best meeting place for all of us. and where better a heartland than, like, SERANGOON.

we had, like, so much fun. it was, like, Oh. My. Gawd. we so love hanging around each other and taking AC random photos of ourselves. :) oh and we do actually eat when we go to these makan places. i have, like, a gazillion photos of our outing last night. will upload them as soon as i can peepz! have to, like, set up my 3rd flicker account first tho.. the first two are full of our photos already and evil flicker banned me.. :(

yeah more fotos! i absolutely love taking photos and posing for them! almost as much as i love hanging out with you guys. lccb rawks! we all rawk peepz! and i'm, like, so so BORED now.. really miss you guys.. let's have another outing real soon (even tho we just had one and i see you guys in school every day), cuz i absolutely miss all of you. *muackz*
